At its annual Adobe Max conference, Adobe revealed that a complete version of Photoshop is coming to iPad in 2019. Photoshop CC for iPad is said to feature a revamped interface for a touch experience, but also the power and functionality from the desktop version.

You will get an ability to open and edit native PSD files on your iPad using standard Photoshop image editing tools (support for layers included). Photoshop on iPad is said to look similar to Photoshop on the desktop, with all of the same toolbar options.

You will also be able to transition projects seamlessly to the desktop and vice versa. Adobe states that Photoshop for iPad uses the same code base as its desktop brother with no compromises when it comes to power, performance, or editing results.

The company also presented Project Gemini, their new cross-platform drawing app that’s coming to your iPads in 2019. Project Gemini is said to simplify drawing and painting workflows with simple cross-device support.

This app will combine raster, vector, and dynamic brushes into one single experience that’s perfect for drawing, and content created in Project Gemini will also sync to Photoshop.
