"What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game."

Doug Cockle, the voice actor for Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series, has confirmed Geralt will be part of the next Witcher game, though not as the main character.
In an interview with Fall Damage, Cockle was given some famous lines from the Witcher series to recall and complete. During the interview, Cockle shared some words about The Witcher 4, with the discussion starting around the 7-minute and 20-second mark:
"Witcher 4 has been announced. I can't say anything about it. What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game. We just don't know how much, and the game won't focus on Geralt. So it's not about him this time. We don't know who it's about. I'm excited to find out. I want to know! I have not seen any script yet — I mean, I couldn't tell you if I did. This is the thing, so I could be lying through my teeth. But I'm not. Or am I?" (Thanks, PC Gamer)
The Witcher 4, which game director Pawel Sasko from CD PROJEKT RED has described as the "most advanced" project they've undertaken, is reportedly set to commence full-scale production this year. However, he also noted that all CDPR projects, including a follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077, codenamed Orion, a Witcher spin-off by the name of Project Sirius, and a Witcher remake titled Canis Majoris, are still in the early stages.
In the rest of the interview, Cockle answered questions about his career as a voice actor as well as the lines that fans most often ask him to quote. If you're interested, feel free to check out the full interview here.
