For those learning rigging and looking to deepen their skills, STUDIOJOIN offers a free Maya rig with a wide range of controls to explore and practice with.
You can scale the entire character, switch between IK and FK, switch between World and Local space, and enable features such as Soft IK for smoother limb movement. The rig also allows you to toggle the visibility of specific facial controllers.
An overview video by STUDIOJOIN is available at the top of the page, providing a detailed introduction to the rig and its functionality. It's in Japanese, but the auto-generated English subtitles are pretty decent. The rig is intended for non-commercial use only. You may use it for personal animation exercises, challenges, short films, and similar projects.
