GTA 6 & Red Dead Redemption Seemingly Coming to PC

PC gamers are not very lucky when it comes to Rockstar's games: they usually have to wait months or even years for its titles to launch on computers, and GTA 6 is expected to follow the tradition. But perhaps we will see it on Windows sooner than we anticipate.

Rockstar has finally introduced the BattlEye anti-cheat to GTA Online, and this is not the only positive news: some hints at PC versions of GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption were found in the launcher after the update.

The well-known data miner Tez2 shared that Rockstar accidentally included the metadata for RDR on PC there, adding a link to the game on SteamDB, which is called Unknown App 2668510 there for now, but you might want to keep an eye on it.

That's not all. As mentioned by RockstarIntel (via PC Gamer), the update had 3 interesting folders: Red Dead Redemption, GTA V Gen9, and Americas. The Gen9 one likely means Rockstar will bring the Expanded and Enhanced version to PC soon, adding ray tracing, Career Progress, GTA+, and more features available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As for the third folder, you might remember GTA 6 as Project Americas, so if players' guesses are right, we will see the PC version of GTA 6 much sooner than all previous Rockstar games offered.

The folders were almost empty, so there was nothing to explore, but it was a very important find. We will have to wait for GTA 6's launch, expected in late 2025, despite recent delay rumors, to see when PC owners can enjoy the game along with console players.
