Take-Two CEO Confirms GTA 6 November Release Date

The CEO dropped the date in a quick interview with TikToker The School of Hard Knocks.

Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series are eagerly anticipating the new title, especially since the release date has been moved several times. The currently expected launch date for the game is November 19, 2026, and this time, players can breathe easy. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently confirmed the information in a quick interview with a TikToker The School of Hard Knocks.

The TikTok blogger with 6.7 million followers posts clips featuring short interviews with famous people, such as Tom Cruise and Shaquille O'Neal, asking them how they became successful and what they would advise aspiring businesspeople and young people in general. In one recent clip, the account had a brief chat with Strauss Zelnick and, in the course of the conversation, asked, "When is GTA 6 coming out man?" To which the Take-Two CEO simply responded, "November 19th."

The TikToker continued and asked, "Why did it take so long?" Zelnick explained that the team at Rockstar seeks to do something that's never been done before, and that's really hard and takes a long time.

The two then moved on to business and revenue. "What was the most amount of money you made in a single year?" The School of Hard Knocks asked; Zelnick shared Take-Two's revenue figures for 2025, which are $6.7 billion, along with the projected revenue for this year, which is "a little over $8 billion." Zelnick also shared a business lesson along the way: "Never compromise your integrity. It's the only thing you have." The conversation ended on an inspiring note, with the CEO advising listeners to focus on the intersection of what you are good at and what you love to do.
