If you're a Blender user and have been online over the weekend, you've probably seen artists experimenting with new features in Blender 5.2. It's still in alpha and will remain so until June 3, but a lot has already been added to Geometry Nodes, including a new version of cloth and hair simulation.

In the new system, dynamic cloth tearing comes built in. Download Blender 5.2, enable Experimental features in Preferences, and check out this video from CGDive if you want to give it a try:
