Interior Mapping Shader Built For VRChat
DX was inspired by Forza Horizon 4.
This effect, known as interior mapping, uses a single texture to create the illusion of a 3D room, especially useful for adding convincing depth behind one or more windows without any real geometry. The technique is widely used in open-world games like Spider-Man and Forza Horizon. If you haven't come across it before, take a look at our article based on Joost van Dongen's detailed breakdown.
This shader by DX is designed for both Blender and Unity, with a particular focus on VR support, including compatibility with VRC Light Volumes. The textures used were created by Chris Harper for Forza Horizon 4.
