Better spring physics coming.
Jesse Miettinen, a well-known procedural artist who has given us loads of fantastic Blender tools, showcased a new version of his Car Rig Generator made with Geometry Nodes.
Car Rig Generator v2 has better spring physics and a rigid frame. In the future, Miettinen is planning to improve the frame and spring constraints and get the correct pivot point system for the wheels "as they now just drop downwards."
The original generator offered adjustable tilt and drifting adjustments as well as ground detection. Knowing Miettinen's hard work, I expect an absolutely amazing tool that will blow our minds once it's completely done.
Meanwhile, you can see what the artist is capable of on his X/Twitter. You'll find a crazy melting effect, a knot generator, seams and zippers, a tool that applies procedural damage, a procedural birch tree generator, a rain effect, and more there.
