Learn How to Create Low-Poly Scenes in ZBrush & Unreal Engine 5 with This Course

The course covers the entire workflow and is suitable for beginner artists.

Discover how to create stylized environments in Unreal Engine 5 with this step-by-step course, covering the pipeline from start to finish. Stylized Low Poly Outdoor Environment Course in Unreal 5 from 3dex features comprehensive, fully narrative videos on modeling and assembling the scene using UE5.

The course is beginner-friendly and includes over 3 hours of video content. The first part covers modeling in Maya, though this part of the workflow is quite straightforward, and you can use any software of your choice, such as Blender. Then, the course proceeds to sculpting low-poly models in ZBrush, creating simple geometric grass and tree leaves with Substance 3D Designer, making materials, blueprints, and foliage in Unreal Engine 5, and adding lighting to the level.

By the end of the course, you will learn the techniques and workflows to create and assemble any simple outdoor environment in Unreal Engine 5, use ZBrush for creating low-poly meshes, use blockout for final level workflows, and add simple lighting to a UE5 level with Lumen.

The learning path comprises:

  • Initial Blockout and Unreal 5 project setup
  • Adding more details to the house model
  • Adding details to remaining props
  • Making materials
  • Creating grass material and grass geo
  • Tree leaves and first pass lighting
  • Finalizing the scene
