More Ancient Japan-Inspired Environment Sketches Made With UE5

Epic Games' Saga Alayyoubi continues working on stunning scenes inspired by Feudal Japan.

In case you missed it, back in early August, Senior 3D Artist at Epic Games Saga Alayyoubi shared a small collection of breathtaking environment concepts inspired by Ancient Japan. Back then, the artist promised to create more real-time sketches in the future and it seems that the future has finally come.

Delivering on the promise, the artist recently presented the second collection of gorgeous sketches that heavily resemble the feudal era of the Land of the Rising Sun. According to the artist, the new sketches were made using 3ds Max for modeling, Substance 3D Painter for texturing, and Unreal Engine 5 for rendering. Additionally, Saga utilized Nomad Sculpt on iPad to sculpt the Shishi Temple Guardians and then finalized the sculpts in ZBrush.
