But it's by no means cheap.
NVIDIA has finally announced the GeForce RTX 4070, which has become the most affordable GPU out of the 40 Series with a starting price of $599.
It offers 5,888 CUDA cores, 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, and a 1.92 GHz base clock speed that can be boosted to 2.48 GHz. It also supports 4K resolution at 240Hz and 8K at 60Hz. NVIDIA promotes the GPU as perfect for 1440p gaming at over 100 frames per second with ray tracing turned on.
The RTX 4070 is available starting April 13 for $599, which is $100 less than the RTX 3080 but $100 more than the RTX 3070. As tested by The Verge, the RTX 4070 is around 30% faster than the RTX 3070 in most games at 1440p and offers similar performance to the RTX 3080. At the same time, RTX 4070 Ti is around 25% better than the RTX 4070 at 1440p.
