Really cool in VR, but I wish the camera would be locked to the cart, so that it felt like I was sitting in it. Now when the cart moves, the head does not follow so it feels like I'm just floating with no contact with the cart.

Nice ad Amazon but can we please at least have some cool behind the scene screenshot and informations instead of the regular Media tab of the official website ?

Photorealistic Heads for Facial Rigs

Galal Mohey, Lead Character Artist at Snappers, has presented his latest photorealistic project. The artist and his team have used Arnold, Xgen, Ornatrix and ZBrush to create at outstanding male head for facial rigging tech demo. The results are something else! 

The purpose of this project was to create a generic male head for a Facial rigging tech demo at Snappers. 
I Worked on this with my friends: 

  • Yasser El-Sherbiny 
  • Abdelrahman Shebl 
  • Ahmed Salim

Still images was rendered using Arnold, ALshaders and hair using Xgen. 
We used Ornatrix for the hair cards in the Unreal Engine version. 
Details were sculpted manually in Zbrush and enhanced using TexturingXYZ tillable maps.
