Play a Brave Onion in This Hollow Knight-Inspired Metroidvania

Check out Layers Deep, a Hollow Knight-inspired Metroidvania indie game that puts you in the role of an Onion, who is on a quest to reach the surface world, developed by Tall Order Games.

You wake up at the end of autumn and see the Southern Gothic world around start to fall into ruin. It definitely sounds like the perfect setting for an epic adventure. This non-linear 2D open-world game lets you explore, gather upgrades, and unlock new areas. But be careful — it seems that something, or someone, might be watching you.

The game's trailer says that you'll meet some bizarre acquaintances on your journey — it shows a pumpkin granny and a creature with a cubic head, each side having a face. There's plenty more awaiting your discovery in the game.
