Realistic Blinking Animation Made With ZBrush & Maya

The project was made by Şefki Ibrahim to bring a digital human to life.

3D Character Artist at Epic Games' Cubic Motion, a company that specializes in facial animation technology, Şefki Ibrahim, who is well-known for creating lifelike digital doubles of real people, unveiled a brand new project made to bring one of the artist's character models to life.

This time, the author has managed to set up a realistic blinking animation, complete with subtle micro-movements that push the realism to a whole new level. According to Şefki, the project was set up primarily in Maya, with ZBrush having been used to sculpt shapes and Arnold for rendering. Once complete, the creator plans to reveal a comprehensive breakdown of the entire project and thoroughly explain the working process behind it.
