It might not be Vita 2.
In his stream several days ago, Tom Henderson mentioned that Sony has a new device that should be released before the PlayStation 5 Pro. Later, after ASUS presented its ROG Ally which is supposed to compete with Steam Deck, a rumor appeared that Sony is working on its own handheld.
Talks about the possibility of PlayStation Vita 2 spread, but journalist Jeff Grubb recently went to Twitter, saying we should "definitely scope down those expectations". Interestingly, he added that he's heard about a cloud-streaming handheld, probably similar to the Logitech G Cloud system, but he didn't offer any details on that.
This doesn't sound implausible. Sony was busy with PlayStation VR2 until its release a month ago, but it seems to struggle with selling as many units as the company had expected. A new device might be what it needs right now.
