Running Rhino Animation Made with Maya

Nav Singh shared a breakdown of the project.

Nav Singh, Lead Animator at Pixomondo, has shared an impressive rhino animation done with Maya, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. Watching this massive animal run and jump is a joy in itself, but seeing it recreated in 3D is even more amazing.

Singh already had the model and a rig he'd set up before starting the work, inspired by The Mandalorian's Mudhorn. He ended up using Houdini's mud simulation and Unreal Engine's rendering abilities for the final picture. Overall, it took him about a month to finish the project. If you'd like to understand how the motion was made, check out the breakdown kindly provided by the creator.

In this tutorial, you will be going over on how to create 4 very different materials from scratch in SD. The goal of these courses is to teach you a solid workflow that we also use in the AAA game industry.
