See How You Can Easily Make Rain on Glass in Material Maker
CMZW shared the node setup.
Material artist Mingwei Lim, known as CMZW or celestialmaze, is back with another nice project – a realistic rain-on-glass material, showing droplets peacefully sliding down the surface.
The work was built in Material Maker, the same tool CMZW used for the unusual moving circuit board they started #Mayterials with. They also kindly provided a screenshot of the nodes used for the project, so you can recreate it easily.
Melancholic scenes are not the only ones that can benefit from this: you can simulate condensation, for example, and make viewers want to buy whatever you're selling with this delicious setup.
If you haven't seen CMZW's works before, you should visit their X/Twitter for impressive shots of their warped clocks, fish pond, animated fire, electric circle effect, steampunk project, stylized lightning sword, beautiful card, and other materials.
