At least according to its marketing and publishing manager.
Team Cherry
Team Cherry, the developers behind Hollow Knight, are infamous for leaving fans hanging without any information about the sequel, Silksong, but after so many years, it seems we have the final release window.
Matthew Griffin, the marketing and publishing manager, revealed that Silksong will be out before the holidays and that it's not tied to the release of consoles, like the new ROG Xbox Ally, which should be shipped soon. Griffin clarified on Discord that by holidays he means Christmas, so yes, 2025 is the year we'll finally see it, 8 years after the first game.
So, what is the exact Hollow Knight: Silksong release date? We don't know yet, but you'll be able to play it at ACMI, Australia's national museum of screen culture, in September, so perhaps this is when we will meet it globally as well.
With its Steam packages recently updated, you should get your wallet ready and maybe even take a vacation to fully enjoy this experience.
