Hi Lincoln, Thanks for this. I found it incredibly informative. Could I ask you a question about your wind + plant movement? Is there any way to stop it looking like the plants are rooted in moving water. I find it horribly distracting and pulls me out of my suspension of disbelief. Cheers, Tudor

Lovely work ! You mentioned "When lighting the scene, I used Light Functions to create the illusion of light passing through clouds, thus lighting the environment unevenly" do you think you could show what is the setup to get such a precise result ?(meaning highlight the area you want?)
Allegorithmic has recently launched its new exchange platform Substance Share, which allows artists to share their materials, brushes and other content with their colleagues.
Somehow this big news went a little under our radar. Allegorithmic has recently launched an incredibly platform, where you can freely share all your content, connected with the Substance family of products. You can easily share meshes, textures, materials, tutorials and other stuff. The coolest thing is that you can upload the materials right through the Substance Designer/Painter, adding your tags, descriptions and so on. Check out the trailer to see how it works.
Substance Share is available for anyone with an open Allegorithmic account. The platform is already filled with hundreds of materials and brushes worth checking out. So far the whole membership is free, but we thing that there’s going to be changes to this community in the future.
You got to give it to Allegorithmic – they know how to build a great ecosystem of tools and create a great community around them. Can’t wait to see what the company will show us in the future.
