Generalist Artist Masayuki Koyama also provided a breakdown of creating the scene.
Take a look at this fly-through in a splendid cityscape created by a Generalist Artist Masayuki Koyama.
The artist build the entire digital city from scratch, including blocks of buildings, streets, parks, trees, water, and arches... The buildings vary in architecture, and there are skyscrapers, tall urban towers, and domed buildings. Masayuki Koyama made the composition even more complex and balanced, adding a classical-looking arch to the forefront, which brings depth to the scene. The scene looks epic and inspirational, as it provides an overview of this huge city and is finished with a beautiful sunset lighting.
The artist shared that modeling and texturing were completed in Maya and Substance 3D Painter, while terrain was created in Houdini. The creator used 3ds Max for the scene assembling, and Nuke for compositing.
