This Blender Simulation Looks So Slimy and Sticky
It's really satisfying to watch.
MaxMilez shared on Reddit a short animation showing grains tearing apart in a gluey substance, and for some reason, I find it so satisfying.
The artist explained that he was in a rabbit hole, building a GPU grain solver with full glue constraints, where the particles bond together and break by distance. He also mentioned that it also works for sand and snow.
The artist explained that this is being developed with the purpose of being released to the public, but they are still trying to make it as solid as possible. They used an add-on to make it, but you will be able to export your Sims to Geometry Nodes.
The point cache and the Alembic meshing time combined were 2 hours and 53 minutes, and the render took 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Other Reddit users said that this reminded them of meat, and they could imagine this in a zombie/monster gore simulation.
Check out the artworks of Mohamed Fayed. He also creates weird-looking things that can be interesting to look at or very uncomfortable, like this chair melting in some unknown substance, or the cobweb simulation.
