This Jinx Portrait Reminds Us That Arcane Season 2 is Two Months Away

Liu Xing showcased a charming take on Jinx powered by Unreal Engine.

As difficult as it might be to believe, but the most anticipated sequel in the world of 3D animation, with that being the second season of Riot's and Fortiche's Arcane, is only two months away from its release, with the series' dedicated fanbase now seemingly awakening from its two-year slumber and delighting us once again with outstanding masterpieces inspired by the show and its iconic characters.

Recently, an artistic endeavor shared by 3D Character Artist Liu Xing caught our attention, offering a beautiful CG take on Arcane's most popular character, Jinx. Created using a combination of Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter, Liu's version of our beloved psycho and her unique-looking weapons combines realistic surfaces with anime-like exaggerated facial features, similar to the approach employed in Alita: Battle Angel. Additionally, the artist utilized XGen to set up Jinx's hairstyle and Unreal Engine to handle the rendering tasks.

We highly encourage you to visit Liu's ArtStation page to check out more of the artist's awesome character projects.
