Tutorial: Customizing MetaHuman Using Unreal Engine 5, Blender & Substance 3D Painter

You can bring Darth Maul to life thanks to Bad Decisions Studio and UE's Live Link.

Nowadays, you can become anyone in digital space, but creating a high-quality avatar might be an impossible task for some. Thankfully, there are plenty of tutorials on how to make great character art, and here is another one.

Bad Decisions Studio has released an hour-long guide explaining how you can customize your MetaHuman using Unreal Engine 5, Blender, and Substance 3D Painter. The video will show you every step of the process, and you'll get an awesome Darth Maul face at the end, which you can then run through UE's Live Link if you want to "wear" it.

  8. Baking high-poly details onto low-poly models with normal maps
