2K Games has announced an exciting revelation for June — the unveiling of a new game in one of its "most popular and beloved" franchises. This announcement is set to be made during the Summer Game Fest, a worldwide showcase of upcoming video games, on June 7.

The announcement is brief enough to spark widespread speculation. The central question is: With several popular and beloved franchises under 2K Games, which one will take center stage this time?

Speculation has been focused specifically on three games. Some are hoping for the much-anticipated BioShock 4, which has been almost five years in the waiting since it's announcement back in winter of 2019.

The possibility of Mafia 4 also seems plausible, given the recent rumors that publisher Take-Two Interactive is gearing up for an announcement related to the Mafia series.

Moving on to Borderlands, speculation about the game has been fuelled by Gearbox's recent recap of the first game, potentially setting the stage for a new installment.
