With the last mainline game from this 22-year-old series being published 8 years ago, will the new Mafia project be the fourth?
Fans of the Mafia series have a reason to be excited as some news has just come out. According to a tweet from Kurakasis, game publisher Take-Two Interactive is preparing for an imminent Mafia series announcement.
Kurakasis has a track record of uncovering information about upcoming games before their official announcements. For instance, he deciphered the name of the new Indiana Jones game by investigating registered site domains. Similarly, he deduced that Ubisoft Shanghai is developing Might & Magic Fates, as evidenced by the registration of the domain names mightandmagicfates.com and might-and-magic-fates.com.

Back in August 2022, Hangar 13's General Manager, Roman Hladík, confirmed during a development interview marking the 20th anniversary of the Mafia series that a new entry in the series was under development at the studio.
Further, a job advertisement from Hangar 13 in March 2023 indicated that the studio's current project was in the pre-production phase, although details were scarce.
Now, a year later, we're finally getting some significant news, albeit from a non-official channel. We'll soon find out.
