Check Out a Photorealistic Melancholic Girl Portrait Made in Maya & ZBrush

This lifelike character portrait was created by the talented Vivienne Yuxuan Hu.

Take a look at the wonderful piece of artwork created by talented Vivienne Yuxuan Hu, Character Modeler Alumni at Think Tank Training Centre.

Vivienne's latest project, Valerie Portrait, is part of an upcoming full-character model, which was created during the mentorship term project at Think Tank Training Centre, as the artist describes it.

The portrait has been meticulously crafted by Vivienne, with every aspect of the render completed by her. However, for this work in progress, Evgeniia Petrova provided a temporary stand-in blouse geo.

As Vivienne noted on ArtStation, in the final version, the character will showcase a cloth model created using Marvelous Designer and ZBrush.

Speaking of the artist's pipeline, the modeling process involved the use of Maya and ZBrush, while texturing was done through Substance 3D Painter and Mari, using Texturing XYZ's VFace.

Speaking of grooming, it was done using XGen Core.

As for the rendering part, it was done with Arnold, followed by post-processing in Nuke.
