Check Out These Detailed Sparkling VFX Made with Unity
Looks magical.
3D Artist known on X/Twitter as effectくん showcased this mesmerizing VFX that looks like a magical transition or a character shape-shifting moment.
The artist focused on a sparkling feel and added multi-layered shimmering effects, building the setup in Unity using the Shuriken Particle system, a built-in Unity toolset.
In their works, effectくん uses Photoshop, Blender, and Unity and currently studies the engine's node-based VFX Graph system. The artist's portfolio has many great works to check out: hand-drawn-style lightning and smoke effects, stylized flame, and more:
Mirza Beig, a 3D artist whose amazing VFX setups we featured many times, previously discussed Unity's toolsets for VFX in our interview, noting that Unity's CPU-based particle system has its own unique advantages: for instance, it offers an intuitive module-based workflow and excels in detailed control over individual particles through custom scripting.
