Check Out This Amazing Short Animation of Running Water Made with Blender
Cartesian Caramel is back with a beautiful scene.
We have featured the 3D Artist and Animator, Cartesian Caramel, many times before, and we've been following his incredible projects for a long time. On this occasion, he shared a short animation of running water in an autumn-like scene.
The scene is very short, but the effect looks very realistic. What makes it very eye-catching is the sun reflecting on the water. The pebbles, leaves, and dust floating around also help create a sense of immersion.
Caramel is an artist known for his skills using Blender's Geometry Nodes to create his artworks. The Geometry Nodes function as a system that procedurally generates and modifies geometry instead of manually modeling.
Check out other projects of his that we have shared in the past. Like the setup that makes it seem like objects appear out of nowhere, which was made using a shader, the Venom formation FX, which was made with Shader Nodes and Geometry Nodes, and the "human torch" effect that was also created using shaders.
We also shared the cobwebs demo where strands shoot from a single point and stick to surfaces; for this one, the artist also used Geometry Nodes. For the Arm Skeleton Test, he implemented the Raycast shader for the translucency. And the last one is the impressive visualization of music waves, which was created using the Sample Sound node.
