Jake Lamb, a Senior Character Artist at Expression Games, has unveiled another entry in his series of highly realistic 3D character models – a stunning recreation of Nadine Ross, the secondary antagonist in Uncharted 4 and deuteragonist of The Lost Legacy, described by the artist as one of his favorite characters from the series.
To set up the likeness, the creator used ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop, with Unreal Engine 5 employed for rendering. Nadine's outfit was made using Marvelous Designer, followed by a ZBrush pass to enhance and emphasize the textile detail, with Jake also experimenting with a second UV set for stitches and utilizing tileables to maintain texture sizes at 1k. For the groom, the author used hand-placed cards in Maya and set up the textures with FiberShop.
"Paying close attention to references, I feel I was able to capture her spirit and likeness," Jake commented. "I would like to thank my close friend Lou Squara who, along the way, provided crit and helped push this piece to what it is now, and I'd like to thank my friend Rick Greeve for letting me use his awesome USP model."
Previously, the artist also wowed us with his highly-realistic 3D rendition of the 2022 version of Bruce Wayne, portrayed by Robert Pattinson:
