Cinema 4D Gets Powerful New Gaussian Splatting Plug-In
Gaussian Splat Studio brings a procedural workflow for importing, viewing, rendering, and exporting splats directly in C4D.
Gaussian Splat Studio by Alpha Pixel is a new Cinema 4D plug-in that lets you import, view, render, and export Gaussian Splat point data. The plug-in provides dedicated viewport and render controls, and fully supports Redshift and Standard/Physical material workflows. It's also designed around a non-destructive workflow, allowing artists to iterate freely while adjusting density, appearance, and output.
According to Alpha Pixel, the plug-in is aimed at motion designers, scan artists, and look-development workflows. It seamlessly integrates splats into Cinema 4D's system, working with MoGraph controls, Fields, Forces, relighting, and mattes.
Also, Tim Chen recently unveiled NanoGS, a tool that helps render large 3DGS efficiently in Unreal Engine 5. It's free:
