Custom Ocean Shader In Godot Featuring Dynamic Whirlpools

It's like a Charybdis simulator.

Levi Murray, whom we previously featured for his satisfying bridge tool and delightfully funny turret, set out on a new adventure involving an ocean-based cutscene. That turned into "falling down a bit of a rabbit hole," and nine days later, he had created this cool shader.

As the developer explained, the core ocean wave generation is powered by this repository. His main contributions focused on implementing GPU-based height detection, the boat controller, arbitrary height displacement, and ocean wakes. Absolutely amazing work.
