Two Character Artists recently presented their 3D takes on protagonists from FFVI and FFVII.
Last week, two different 3D Character Artists presented their takes on protagonists from Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII, reimagining the classic heroes in 3D. The first artwork was created by Branden Gonzalez, who reimagined FF6's protagonist Celes Chère in the style of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
According to the artist, the character was modeled with ZBrush, Maya, and Marvelous Designer, textured with Substance 3D Painter, and rendered in Unreal Engine 5. To set up her hair, Branden utilized XGen. You can learn more and check out more renders here.
Another project was made by Character Artist Fuyumidori, who showcased a 3D recreation of Cloud Strife's head. The author commented that the protagonist of FF7 and FF7 Remake was recreated using Blender. You can learn more by visiting Fuymidori's Twitter page.
