Andras Ketzer shared an upgraded version of his real-time fluid simulation tool for Unreal Engine 5.
Andras Ketzer released an updated version of his real-time fluid simulation tool for Unreal Engine 5, FluidNinja LIVE, after three years of development. In a video above, Ketzer demonstrates how the viscous fluid setups can be visualized using FluidNinja LIVE-2, with examples of mud and blood.
Check out an extended video on the artist's YouTube channel:
FluidNinja was used in games such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, High on Life 2, Dune: Awakening, The Blood of Dawnwalker, The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered, The Callisto Protocol, and more.
The recently introduced FluidNinja LIVE-2 is "a new piece of sofware – not a modified version of LIVE-1," which extends the original LIVE-1 feature set. LIVE-2 is built primarily with Niagara and wrapped in Blueprints rather than being C++-based.
Before, Andras Ketzer demonstrated tests of the project's features, including water repulsion, water filling gaps, and VFX, as well as a demo highlighting an material output slot and other features in FluidNinja LIVE 1.8.5.5:
FluidNinja LIVE-2 also features new water setups and destructible effects:
