A mobile version is definitely needed.
2048, but everything is jiggly. Essentially, these blobs are made up of a perimeter of small rigid-body circles, kind of like a string of beads. As developer keepeetron explained, this was originally intended as a temporary hack, but it consistently proved more robust than all the attempts at implementing fully custom physics. "Each blob applies skin-force to its 'beads' to keep adjacent beads tight, and a pressure force which pushes them in/out according to their normals to match a certain volume."
The game is called sobosuba, and it's launching on Steam this Friday. This isn't just about smashing your way through levels, there's strategy, tricks, and skill involved. It also features achievements and an online leaderboard, with some achievements requiring you to approach the game in completely different ways.
Mobile feels like sobosuba's natural habitat, and the developer plans to make a version later. Wishlist the game on Steam so you don't miss the PC launch.
