Learn Blender Techniques to Make a Stylized Scene with This Beginner's Tutorial

It's another guide by crzyzhaa.

3D Modeler and Animator crzyzhaa shared a beginner's tutorial on YouTube about Blender techniques to create simple low-poly models with a stylized look. He provides a step-by-step narrated guide that you can follow to create a scene with rocks, some flowers, and grass. You can also download the assets for free.

He breaks the process into modeling, lighting and base colors, UV unwrapping, texturing, grass, miscellaneous details, and baking textures for export. In each step, he clearly explains and shows how to change, move, and manipulate the objects, or which setups to use.

The artist also shows you how sometimes the simplest techniques are the ones that help you create a better scene, like adding lines in darker tones to create shadows and a more textured look. Another important aspect he mentions is how to add texture to the floor to make the scene more realistic.

crzyzhaa is an artist who shares impressive and very helpful tutorials on 3D scenes; check out some of the ones we featured in the past, like the one where he taught how to create stylized digital dishes, or how to make an anime-style waterfall animation.

He has also shared videos showing tricks to make your art more cinematic, mentioning how sometimes it is more important to have observational skills than 3D skills to make a captivating scene. Or a guide to creating stylized anime backgrounds using images.
