NVIDIA RTX Empowers Substance Alchemist and Blender with AI

The last updates of the software include denoising and material creation based on the AI algorithm.

New updates of Adobe Substance Alchemist and Blender will improve and speed up the workflow of 3D artists. In Alchemist, Image to Material feature is empowered by AI now that will allow artists to create realistic materials from a photo fast and easy.

“The power of AI now allows artists to generate high-quality digital materials in minutes, from a single photograph. This is an exciting next step for Substance Alchemist, bringing the physical world into the digital material creation process.”

Baptiste Manteau, product manager at Adobe

Blender has got AI-powered denoising in earlier releases. Now, artists can denoise while designing a viewport. The new feature allows artists to adjust the design to achieve the best results of the shot.

Added AI-based features are built on RTX-accelerated ray tracing that the tool got with Blender Cycles 2.81 release.

“Together we completed an entirely new backend for Cycles, integrating NVIDIA OptiX to achieve optimal ray-tracing performance using NVIDIA RTX GPUs. This will result in huge time savings and greater creative freedom for our users.”

Dalai Felinto, development manager at Blender
