If you want something special for your PlayStation 5 Slim, Sony has some new looks to offer. At CES 2024, the company showcased three new colors for the side plates, which will make the console stand out. You can choose between matt Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver, just as Sony promised in October, and a black version should be on its way. The prices for the plates start at 54.99 USD/ 54.99 EURO/ 44.99 GBP.
These attractive new "skins" might even boost PS5's sales, which reached 50 million in December. After all, who wouldn't want a flashy red instead of boring white? I haven't seen the new colors myself, but judging from the photos (thanks, The Verge), the console looks stunning. To be honest, I'm more interested in the controller, which matches the box and looks really pleasant to hold.
