SIGGRAPH Talk: Virtual Production in UE4

Jacob Buck, Joji Tsuruga, David Hurtubise, and Philippe Rebours talked about Unreal Engine 4.23 features and discussed virtual production in UE4 for Fortnite.

During SIGGRAPH 2019, artists from Epic Games gave an overview of the features of Unreal Engine 4.23 and provided a case study of the virtual production in UE4 for Fortnite. 

For instance, the video showcases Epic Games’ experimental approach to CG, VR, and digital human creation with various cinematic tools, including Sequencer, a multi-task tool for capturing and editing, VCam tool for movie-making, and so on. 

The second part of the talk covers the use of VP tools in the Fortnite step-by-step production.
