Stylized Asian Cliff Scene Created with a Single Rock Asset
Tyler Smith has presented a new picturesque landscape.
3D Artist Tyler Smith, known for creating stunning nature environments, unveiled a new Unreal Engine 5 scene, poetically titled Wind on the Clifftops. The project captures the subtle beauty and striking contrasts of an Asian high-cliff landscape, with a particular focus on rock formations.
In addition to UE5, Smith also used Blender, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop. The entire environment was built using a single rock asset, supplemented with a stone pile asset placed on top of the ledges. The artist also designed a gameplay area featuring platforms suspended over a fog-covered abyss, drawing inspiration from classic Nintendo 64-era level design that often relied on similar setups.
