Take a Look at This Hippo in Water Sim Made with HydroFX
A new work by Jeremy White.
3D Artist Jeremy White, whose fantastic seashore setup we shared yesterday, unveiled a new amazing work – a highly realistic scene with a hippo splashing in water, crafted with GPU-accelerated FLIP fluid solver HydroFX, developed by Sebastian Schaefer.
The artist explained that foam, bubbles, and spray were all simulated together within a single system for a cohesive result, with the entire simulation fully GPU-accelerated. The mesh and additional sand interaction were handled in Houdini, with final LookDev and rendering completed in Blender. Jeremy White posted an article, breaking down the technical details of the scene.
