Cartesian Caramel's new project takes you on a LEGO-themed nostalgia trip.

3D Artist and Animator Cartesian "Bbbn192" Caramel has recently taken us on a LEGO-themed journey down memory lane through an outstanding new animation inspired by a real-life LEGO set.

Depicting the assembly of an intricate mining vehicle, the sequence in question was created using a combination of Blender and MaxTheKitsune's 3D recreation of the 2009 LEGO 8961 Crystal Sweeper set made using BrickLink Studio and available to download via Sketchfab.

As customary, Cartesian has also shared a detailed tutorial on YouTube explaining how the showcased project was made:

Notably, this is not the first of Cartesian's LEGO-inspired works. Earlier, the author also showcased a neat system for assembling and disassembling a digital Starfighter LEGO set:

And even a Geometry Nodes-powered LEGO-style version of Andrew Price's famous donut, approved by Blender Guru himself:
