Try This Film Emulation Tool For Unreal Engine 5 Cinematics
It's fully keyframable in Sequencer and supports both Deferred and Path Traced rendering.
Scott Jardine has released True Lens, a tool designed to bring the photographic characteristics of real film directly into your Unreal Engine renders. Built primarily for cinematics, it lets artists develop lens treatment alongside camera and lighting, experiment with a shot's look in real-time, and fine-tune the result in the engine.
The entire process is contained within a single Blueprint, eliminating the need for external processing. True Lens includes:
- Anamorphic Bokeh;
- Pro-Mist Diffusion;
- Halation;
- Depth Haze/Lightwrap;
- Film Grain;
- Chromatic Aberration;
- Lens Distortion;
- Lens Dirt;
- Lens Flares;
- Gate Weave;
- Film Breath;
- Vignetting;
- Blur / Softening;
- Z-Depth Fog.
To get started, add the True Lens Blueprint to your level. It manages its own Post Process Volume and can be placed with your camera setup. Use it across the entire level or limit its effect to a specific area. True Lens also includes presets, making it easy to save and reuse effect settings.
