CD Projekt's Grzegorz Chojnacki took a more in-depth look at the new DLC's main antagonist Kurt Hansen.
Grzegorz Chojnacki, a Principal Character Artist at CD Projekt Red, has recently taken to ArtStation to provide a closer look at character design in Phantom Liberty, a recently released expansion for the studio's sci-fi action game Cyberpunk 2077.
With a series of insightful behind-the-scenes renders and WIP shots, the artist explored in greater detail the 3D model of Colonel Kurt Hansen, the ruler of Dogtown and the DLC's main antagonist. According to the author, he was responsible for creating the character's head, garments, and cyberwares, high-poly and low-poly, texturing, and finalizing in-game appearances.
As for the software, Grzegorz revealed that the model was created using Maya, ZBrush, Blender, and Substance 3D Painter. Interestingly, the list of programs also mentions that Autodesk Softimage was used in production, which is rather unusual considering that the software in question was discontinued nearly a decade ago.
And here are some of the renders shared by the artist:
