Awesome Rick And Morty Season 9 Promo Animations Made In Blender
You can recognize Tomasz Woźniakowski's style right away.
Tomasz Woźniakowski never runs out of unusual ideas. We've previously highlighted plenty of his projects on 80 Level, including oddly elongated characters, a bizarre trumpet, a funky pencil, and more.
The artist is now back with something just as cool: a series of countdown loops for the Rick and Morty Season 9 premiere, along with a little behind-the-scenes look. It feels like a perfect match, Tomasz Woźniakowski's somewhat grotesque style was made for this show. He was also apparently given complete creative freedom on these by Adult Swim.
"My all-time dream was to make something for Adult Swim, and here we are! It was a blast making it – as a teenage boy, I was a huge R&M fan. Adult Swim gave me basically full artistic freedom – all concepts, assets, and sound design were done by me as well. It's so sick to see my style seamlessly merged with one of my favourite cartoons."
If you're a Blender user, keep an eye on Blender 5.2 LTS, currently in alpha. One of the biggest additions is new cloth and hair systems, which many artists are already experimenting with. Blender is also reportedly working on adding its own texture layer system.
