It's much more than they do in Remnant II and Counter-Strike.

By now I don't have to tell you how popular Baldur's Gate 3 is. To be honest, I was afraid there would be a lot of people who decided it didn't live up to the hype, but so far so good it seems, and recent daily engagement statistics prove the fact.
Circana's analyst Mat Piscatella presented a curious chart, showing that average Baldur's Gate 3 players in the US spend over 5 hours in the game every day. Naturally, the numbers rise on the weekend, and engagement even almost reached 350 minutes during the first weekend after the release.
For reference, Remnant 2 players spend 100 minutes less in the game, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive receives only half of the attention Baldur's Gate 3 does, at least in terms of session time.
Then again, this chart includes idling time, so yes, you could be away washing dishes with the game in the background, and it would still count.

Part of these impressive stats are thanks to speedrunners, who train again and again to beat Baldur's Gate 3 in 10 minutes or even less to get to the juicy parts, as Mae did. Or maybe some replay these scenes several times, who knows?
Whatever the case, Larian definitely found its audience and can successfully continue with its roadmap.
