Dark Souls' Firelink Shrine Recreated With Unreal Engine 5

The artist used Blender, ZBrush, and Substance 3D software to set up the scene.

Have a look at Bonfire Lit, a stunning 3D recreation of Dark Souls' Firelink Shrine location, made by 3D Environment Artist Adam Plechaty.

According to the creator, the scene was set up in Unreal Engine 5 using Blender, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter/Designer, and UE5's modeling tools. Additionally, the author utilized the engine's Lumen to light the environment.

"For most of the assets, I opted to use an RGB mask to drive two or three 1k tiling textures that are blended in shader," commented the artist. "This helped keep a nice Texel density, especially on huge assets like the aqueduct or cliffs."
