CD Projekt Red Has More Than 600 Devs Working on The Witcher 4 & Cyberpunk 2
The studio is actively working on sequels to its sagas.

CD Projekt Red, the developer behind two beloved titles, Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher series, unveiled the stats on the number of devs working on the studio projects.
According to the diagram below, the majority of the Polish studio's development staff is working on sequels to its cyberpunk and fantasy sagas. As of April 2026, 513 developers are working on The Witcher 4, up from 499 in February, while 163 developers are assigned to Cyberpunk 2, up from 149 in February.
Last year, CDPR already expanded its teams working on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher sequels, and now, we see that this tendency continues, which means that the titles are in active development.

Project Sirius and Project Hadar rank third and fourth, respectively, in terms of development staff engagement. They have not been released yet. Sirius is a multiplayer-focused Witcher spin-off, and Hadar is an original RPG.
The Witcher 4 is now in the full-scale production phase, but it will not launch in 2026. Recently, CD Projekt Red revealed the third expansion for The Witcher 3, titled Songs of the Past, which will launch in 2027.
Cyberpunk 2, previously codenamed Project Orion, was revealed in October 2022 and is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 by a North American division that comprises studios in Boston and Vancouver. Cyberpunk 2077, in its turn, is getting a standalone VR experience, co-developed by CD Projekt Red and Zero Latency VR.
