Check Out This Astonishing and Impressive 3D Environment of a Sacred Tower

It's beautiful to look at, but if you're afraid of heights, it'll probably make you anxious.

Casey Coleman, Senior Weapon and Vehicle Artist, shared on his ArtStation a project he calls the Sacred Tower, which is an environment based on a concept by Concept & Vis Dev Artist, Jakub Kozłowski.

This really feels like something ripped out of a Fumito Ueda game, such as Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, or Ico.

The artist wanted to practice making a full 3D environment by recreating the concept. He modeled and blocked it in Blender, and he assembled, did the lighting, and rendering in Unreal Engine 5. He also used ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and PureRef.

The scene looks really beautiful and mysterious, making you wonder the story behind the place. It could be something you see in a game where you have to explore an ancient and fallen city.

You can see some WIPs of the structure, the foliage, and the references Casey Coleman used here:

You can check out other projects we have shared about hidden places, or towers, like Thanawat Mamak's fantasy getaway, or Rui Cunha's hidden temple, or Rafael Arcari's interview, where he discussed the Ruined Tower project.

You can follow Casey Coleman on ArtStation to see more of his work.
