Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to bring us some cool fan-made projects. Check out Dan Eder's take on Peter Parker, which he created to experiment with a few ideas. Dan was actually Art Director on Invincible VS, and we had the chance to talk with him about his work earlier this year.

For this piece, the artist wanted to try a more "hybrid" stylized-realism approach than his usual work. He used ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag to combine 2D comic-inspired elements with realistic lighting, detailed textures, and an outline that takes on the colors of its surroundings rather than simply using black.

In the past, Netflix bought Dan Eder's fan art of The Queen's Gambit for use in its official chess game. His portfolio is filled with neat stylized characters, including this Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners:

Dan has also recently launched a course on Coloso that will take you through creating a production-ready stylized character from start to finish. A big part of the course also focuses on stylization and appeal: learning how to push shapes, design, and materials while keeping everything cohesive and interesting.
