Photoreal Geralt of Rivia Made With Houdini & Substance 3D

This amazing CGI model was made by Vishwesh Taskar.

Asset Lead Vishwesh Taskar has presented an absolutely marvelous and realistic 3D model of Geralt of Rivia, based on Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character in Netflix's The Witcher TV series. According to the creator, the model was made without using any photogrammetry data and allowed the author to learn more about cinematic lighting.

The goal of the project was to try out new procedural approaches and upgrade and optimize the workflow using Houdini and RenderMan for creating photorealistic characters. Additionally, the artist utilized Substance 3D Painter/Designer, ZBrush, Maya, Mari, Nuke, and Marvelous Designer to create the portrait.
